Yager has it! My adult P. Regalis enclosure. She stays in the back in her "sanctuary". When hiding she has a cocoon she's made that she'll stay in but when feeling exploratory she'll come out and hang on the middle back wall. Every once in awhile she'll venture towards the front but it's rare. She's very shy as one would expect.

So far I've had no issues whatsoever. I tend to keep the top screen covered a bit not not all the way. My Regalis seems very content. I kept an avic it for a couple months beforehand with no problems as well.

None of my T's really try to crawl on that almost ever. My Regalis is happy to stay on the walls and has very rarely tried to scale the screen. I've heard the reports but have never seen this problem ever happen In person. I have a P. Irminia in a similar setup and she won't leave her hide anyway. Frankly I think the risk is overblown, just my opinion. If i noticed mine spending more time in that area I might be more concerned and address it but so far, they have zero interest in climbing that part of the cage

If I saw a real issue I'd cover them with plastic or replace with a different lid but if the t isn't into the lid why bother. My Regalis stays where she always does and doesn't stray far. An Explorer she is not haha

Some might disagree but frankly, if you watch your t closely you will see where they are most comfortable and they often stick with it. My Regalis stays in the right bottom, and center of the cage (camera right). The only time she goes anywhere else is cuz I was doing something to cause a disturbance like taking pics or making a ruckus. Still, she has yet to scale the screen. Always stays on the walls. I'd rather take the risk and keep the ability to let the tank dry out easily than risk mold issues. Just my opinion. I might change it over time but right now she's happy as a clam so if it's not broke don't fix it.
