2 1/4" Brachypelma Smithi ~male/female?

Any ideas if it's a she/he? Still pretty small so might be hard to tell.
Yeah, male. From what I've seen, that kind of banded coloration above the epigastric furrow seems to indicate male in this species... Know what I mean? The region where the fusillae would be is noticeably darker than the parts to the right & left...
