0.1 Nhandu chromatus, 1.375"
Was so thrilled to get such a good shot of this this morning , if I didn't have backlight would have missed it - nearly invisible . Didn't expect such clear spermatheca at such a small size , definitely thinking the gbb I posted yesterday is possibly maleish now
Those two species have very different shaped spermathecae. I always recommend that people backlight the exuvia, especially at the smaller sizes, since both the spermathecae and uterus externus can be completely transparent. It can make a world of difference.

For sure , I just meant if this one already has it this much showing , wouldn't a similar sized different species also have a decent amount of development ? Maybe not though !! :D

No, not at all. And because of the shape of Chromatopelma spermathecae, it might take that much longer for it to be obvious.

Okay ,good to know. Thanks Vanessa, I always learn something from your posts ! I will keep an eye out next molt :).

I have an A.geniculata sling and two P.cancerides slings in premolt right now so will likely have some more microscope pics over the coming couple weeks .
