Hi I have several local garden spiders, and they are all very well taken care of. but my boyfriends garden spiders are dropping like flies! Is there anything I can do to save them from impending doom, Or is it all just old age? :(

They usually don't live past 1 season however I wouldn't think it is late enuff just yet for them to die.

Have you had some cold spells or unusually cold nights lately?

we keep them inside, so i dont think that is an issue. plus, i apologize, but my darling GF tends to blow things out of proportion, i only had ONE spider (argiope auriranti) and it was a male, so i assume it died of natural causes.

The more I read these posts, the more I realize that there ARE others out there like me! I got into T's because of the great big Garden Spiders that were all around myhouse this year-I did a little research and found out that they live, they lay, they die-unfortunately! I had wanted to bring a couple in for the winter. So I started thinkin--Tarantulas are really cute.........
