Adult male H. arizonensis

He's not acting like himself. He's a little more lethargic than usual, still moving around but with less enthusiasm. He also isn't as spunky as he normally is when I picked him up. His abdomen has more of a swollen appearance. Is this serious? 20171129_181322.jpg

I'm guessing he's going into premolt. I've heard they become chubby like that. Mine is currently going through that.

Could be pre molt combined with its the time of year for them to go into a hibernation period.

Looks quite chunky so he may need a little heat if it happens to be too cool for him but as @RTTB said .... it is hibernation time for them so could be just slowing down for that reason

Glad to hear. He is an adult, and I probably just got worried over nothing.
Mine bury themselves and I don't even see them until March.

This species is also long lived. I've had my wild caught adults for several years now.
