I caught this wolf spider drinking from a small spot of water on my kitchen floor. When I caught them, I added water to the container and they immediately began to drink for quite a while-- then pooped.

I've decided to keep them, at least for a little while. Around here we get a FLOOD of wolf spiders in the fall season, I mean you encounter a dozen within a week's time. So they're definitely plentiful.

Any idea what species it is?

My old Phidippus audax "bryantae" formation droppin' by to say "Hey, how are ya?" Love the leg in the air thing they do as well.

Someone molted! They dug themselves a little burrow, straight down to the bottom and I'm able to peek in on them. The colors are even more vivid in person.

This little guy or gal got an updated house today! So far I think they love it. Substrate is a blend of peat, coir, some white sandtastik play sand, and a bit of perlite.
