Your tarantula is engaging in a bit of zen Buddhism, aligning its chakras as it meditates about the meaning of its existence . . . Also it's moulting. ;) :D

Molt!! Should be completed between 7-14 hour marks. It is shedding it's skin. Don't feed or handle for the next 4-6 days!

Sexing time if you don't already know it's gender too lol

It's in one of the last stages of summoning a Great Old One, likely either Phtum'ahl Khten or Bahlim Naiy. Be sure that direct sunlight doesn't hit it during this process, or... actually, doesn't matter, just don't let that happen. Tarantulas are capable of Old Tongue, but you could help it along by chanting the following. Black robe optional. Expect results in 7-10 business days.

Missä poltti kostonliekki, siel ei nähty rauhaa
Mikä malmis'tummaa tulta, mikä verta vahvaa
Siittä synty hurmekirves - synty tapporauta
Mihnä iski tapporauta, siel ei nahty rauhaa

It has never seen substrate up close and personal, so your tarantula was coming up with the genius way to do it! It rolled over on its back to be able to see the substrate!
Yes, and it is a very lazy tarantula that one! To lazy to dig! Soo it rolled over on its back to see the substrate, and it hit 2 birds in with one stone! It could see the sub and it could rest at the same time!:dead:

It's making "dirt angels!" (Like snow angels, but without all the cold stuff)
