Why is my centipede inactive?

Okay, I have never taken care of an centipede or any arthropod in general, but centipedes have always fascinated me. Last night, a centipede bit my brother on his finger. I think this is a Scolopendra subspinipes judging from it's yellow legs, and knowing that the species is very common here in my country. I think it's a young one because it's only 3-4 inches in length. I know that the bite shouldn't be that dangerous, but it did inflict tremendous pain to my brother (he is doing okay now). Anyway, "Belphegor" (nice name btw) seems inactive today. Time here right now is 8:42 AM while I'm typing this exact sentence. Aren't centipedes inactive during day, though? I'm worried for the little guy. My parents want to have it killed, but I took the opportunity to keep and study it last night after it bit my brother. Now I have another pet, other than my dog "Bravo". Yeah, that's the question, I don't know why it's inactive. It's currently in a plastic container with holes. I put soil from the garden as substrate (is this okay). A stone for design, and a toy leaf. Also a bottle cap for water.

And while I'm at it, is it okay to feed it animal meat, like pig's, chicken's and whatnot? A place to buy crickets is far from my house. I'll try to look for beetles at a nearby market though, but those would be rare. And yeah, give me advice while you're at it as well. Thanks.

EDIT: I almost forgot to tell that my centipede isn't also eating the pork meat I gave him (or her). And it seems that its right antenna is shorter than the other. I'm assuming this is broken, but I know it shouldn't affect its ability to eat. Also, name changed from Belphegor to "Baal", lol.

Hey! the centipede must be stressed out.. and anyway most species don't venture out every single night :)
So everything must be fine.. enjoy your new pet :)

I made another post about my pede because I think it's dying, or molting. If you want to help, it's over here. Basically, my pede has been pulsatinng lately. It's been laying on one spot for too long as well.
He was active last night, he just seems weak today since morning.
