Hello all,

My MM A. avic has developed some white spots on his abdomen. Looks like dried poop but I was unable to remove it with a wet napkin. I am worried it is some sort of fungal infection or mites. If so, how do I get rid of it? There is no mold in the tank and I see no such spots there anywhere. I also noticed he has removed most of his hair on the abdomen; perhaps the white spots are itchy?

Thanks!

Can you try to get clearer pictures in better light of those spots?

How long has it been a MM?

I agree a clearer picture would be helpful. Could be he pooped and then his abdomen came in contact with it somehow before it dried. My Avic poops a lot so that would be my first guess.

I also thought it was poop but it is not removable by a wet washcloth so that makes me think it is something serious. Here is a hopefully better picture: IMG_0442.jpg

Not a much better picture...I'm still guessing it's just poop. Sometimes it gets extra stuck

Thanks everyone, I find it hard to take a better pic since he is usually squirming around. Hopefully it is just poop.
