I dont know much about true spiders, but a customer brought this into my store for me. I've never seen anything like it before around here. Check out the cool thorns on the abdomin. It was found in Huntington Long Island. Does any body know what it is, or if its evan sopposed to be here?

Hey,

Your spider is an orb weaver (family Araneidae) by the name of Micrathena gracilis.

And she's absolutely beautiful!

That is a member of the Micrathena genus. Spined Micrathena is the common name. They are an orb weaver. The Arrow-shaped Micrathena is yellow for the background color.
