what species of trapdoor is this?

hey all, i recently acquired an unknown species of trapdoor from a friend. no info on background, etc. shiny black, about 1.5" DLS. thanks! oh- and let me know if i should get more pics...

Assuming it is WC and from Africa it is most likely a Ctenolophus sp.

But I am not an expert on these... if Jeff H checks in he will be able to shed more light on the subject.

nope. different friend i have many sources, they keep my supply of interesting critters up!
