I was boiling a half-log hide to use in my Lasiodora difficilis' new enclosure, when I noticed the bark looks an awful lot like pine bark. Does anyone know what kind of wood they use to make them? Google was of no use...
I have actually heard that those half-logs might be pine (one of the reasons reptile companies do not list the type of wood on the product). They're apparently "heat treated" to prevent phenols from escaping and harming pets.
