What kind of spider is this?

I'm not sure if the picture is clear enough but I just found it on my computer and was curious. I remember I snapped this picture in either middle or high school during a sleepover. My friend lived in the woods and didn't have AC so we slept with the window open. I looked down and it was on my chest while I was trying to fall asleep. Biggest spider I had ever seen. It almost gave me a heart attack.

A fishing spider (family Pisauridae, genus Dolomedes).

They get big but are not dangerous to people.

Yep, I agree with Dolomedes. They seem to get a real kick out of ominously positioning themselves on my curtains overlooking the bed.
