what is this

can anyone tell me what this is? i found it in northern Alberta. it is only 1/4 or a little smaller

They're harmless. Contain a very mild venom excreted from the moving parts of the pincers. Nothing to worry about at all.

If you're planning on keeping it, they need a lot of humidity and I'd feed it on springtails.

They also eat mites, parasitic or otherwise.

I don't know of any that get more than 4 or 5mm. They are a very tiny arachnid.
Cool critter, though.

what is the biggest anyone ever seen one of these
Not very large. Most often psuedoscorpions hitch a ride on the backs of house/horse flies, thats how they end up in weird places, usually bathroom walls.

We used to find them on grain bags at work all the time. they must feed on the meal bugs that eat the sweet feed.

I have few in one of my scorp tanks. they help with the isopod clean up crew and keep the tank pest free
