What is this invert?

Well he looks interesting, I can see a fairly long spike at his end. It is mainly covered by the wings.

Well he doesn't look like a cricket to me, but that's what has come closest to the truth. I found an image of a two-spotted tree cricket. He hasn't tried to jump out of what I just trapped him in. However he has attempted to crawl out.
-Update: turns out they are an arboreal species and stay well off the ground. I have no Idea how it managed to get into my room. They also have a long drawn-out chirp sound.

It's actually a type of tree cricket, most likely Neoxabea bipunctata. I only just saw them for the first time last year by me. They're quite interesting looking creatures

Edit: Wow I'm stupid. I read the "it doesn't look like a cricket" part of the last post and apparently just stopped right there. Didn't realize you confirmed the species :sorry:

The males are very load for their size, I had to get up and shake one out of a tree one night.
