Ventilation advice

I've got a couple of the following containers available that I've been planning on setting up for a couple of slings about 1-1½ inches in DLS and was wondering how vital ventilating the lid is? I'm planning on drilling a ring or two of holes all around the top of the container in any case but if I put holes in the lid I doubt they'll be stackable which was my initial plan.

I think for the size, the rings around the edge will let in enough air.

My bad... A G.pulchra and a B.smithii, both about 1-1½ inches. I think it'll do just fine untill they get to sizes appropriate for petboxes.
