I bought a juvenile desert hairy last week and put him in my exoterra terrarium, temperate holds at DAY 25 NIGHT 20 degrees, humidity is at 45-50%. I haven't seen him since the day I put him in which is nearly a week now, there is food available and I have been up at various time in the night to check and he isn't anywhere, I also have a scorpion light which Ive shone into the various holes to try and spot him but nothing.

Has he just found a corner and died or is he still getting used to his new home?

if you really can't find it you can dry digging out of the substrate

that humidity seems a little high

Where in the enclosure is the humidity measured, and how is it measured?
