hi guys, i have some new p.irminia slings,
i would like to rehouse them into their new enclosures but for some time now i wont be able to get cork barks for them.

is it ok to use the mangrove wood for them? the aquarium type (i already have some) , or will it just mold/decy in there?

thanks for any advice, nico.

I think it would mould easy.

All natural woods mould quick. Cork bark seems to be the best, hence why the most commonly used.

Mangrove root, aka Malaysian driftwood? I have only used it submerged but am planning on using a bunch in a vivarium build. It’s very dense and heavy and seems a lot more rot resistant than many other woods. It’s certainly stable under water for many years in aquariums.
