I was cleaning the substrate in my Blue Tail Monitor`s cage and I saw this pretty little thing running around. I live in Switzerland but I don`t think that it could have gone in from outside so I think it was probably inside the turf that I use as substrate. I checked the bag and it came from Germany so I guess this little guy normally lives in Germany.

It does not eat roach nymphs for some reason, even the little S.lateralis nymphs scare it. But it eats very tiny meal worms with gusto.

Any idea what it can be?

Looks like Lithobius sp. stone centipede. How big is it?

I would say thats lithobilus sp. then. I kept one for a while and fed it random small bugs that i caught outside. What I really want to do is start almost a "colony" of stone centipedes, which a huge amount of them in one tank, how awesome would that feeding be?

I doubt it's stone pede, its legs appear to be too short. Unfortunately, I have no knowledge of European myriapods (and not a whole lot of my own native species either, for that matter), so I can offer no further help than that.
