Trapdoor I found!

I found this trapdoor spider nest abandoned earlier this month. Almost certainly left over from last year. The door was swinging open and closed in the Oklahoma wind.

I hope that the occupant either moved on or had finished it's life cycle and left behind another generation of incredible arachnids.

Found at Wiley Post Park in OKC.

Ah! True enough! I hadn't thought about it, but I'll go and see if anything has moved in if I get the time over the week. The Spring just hit full swing around here so there's got to be something by now.
