Only 2 people were interested in learning that scientists were able to train a jumping spider? :wideyed:

I was right about to post this since I hadn't seen it on Arachnoboards yet. Thank you for sharing! It's very interesting. Maybe Jumping Spiders (spiders in general?) are a little more intelligent than we're lead to believe?

researchers understand the biomechanics needed to make jumping micro-robots.

Not too happy about this though...

I’m trading one of my Hierodula membranacea to jump
from hand to hand and
it’s working quite well.

This is really awesome. But the idea of a robot capable of what a jumping spider is capable of is terrifying. Of course it maybe could be used for good, in terms of surgeries or other medical applications, but if you translate this into war appliance... It becomes a whole different level of terror.
But I guess it will always be this way with science...
