Totally bummed

What was a group of six scarlet millipedes is now a thriving springtail colony they we're adults when I got them not sure how old they were but there all gone now :(

I don't have a clue about millipedes but I'm terribly sorry for you, Jerry, my man :-/

I had a bunch of tan N. americanus die off and I’m turning it to a positive by adding spring tails and letting them eat the fungus that killed them. Sorry to hear about your pedes. Hmu if you want more rust reds though, I’ll give you a good deal and I can send complete houseing and soil mix.

Keep that substrate! If you had adults, the substrate is likely full of eggs.

Thanks guys its one off the worst parts of this hobby is when things die for no apparent reason

I will hang on to the substrate and hope that would be awesome

Remember Scarlets don't have a terribly long lifespan. If you got them as adults, you could have just been keeping them in the last of their natural days.
