Depends on the size of the scorpion, most young instars or very small species possibly can. I once had an 8 inch Emperor scorpion ( P.imperator ) climb the thermostat cable, he was able to reach the sensor end, and met me calmly walking accross the floor.
What I use for my livefood cotainers is Aluminium Tape , very sticky back and difficult to peel apart but very good. Place some into each corner, the full width of the roll, that stops any escapes, better than vasaline jelly type .
