This thread is just in appreciation of the beauty and diversity of African scorpions specifically in this original post, the Burrowing Scorpions (Opistophthalmus spp). These pics aren't mine but were found through Google. First two pics are a male and female O.longicauda side by side, the final three is the male O.pallipes.

This thread could be whatever you make of it, discussion or pic sharing African scorpions (or both) no matter the species.

Wow… These O longicauda are monsters! I didnt know this specie. Do you find them in the hobby?

Personally I have never seen them in the US hobby but in Europe, who knows? They seem to have an edge on us in regards to introducing new species to the hobby. I would love to get a O.longicauda or a O.pallipes, especially a male with the elongated chela (claws).
