I’m assuming terrestrial or fossorial:

Small slings, less than 3/4” like 1/2” and under, I put them in 2oz soufflé cups, I have 8 slings, 3/8” in those right now.

3/4” up to 3” I use 4x4x4 AMAC boxes...great container.

Over 3” I put them into their adult enclosure.

Though if I have something truly huge, I’ll use an intermediary size, then move them into the adult enclosure once they are 6.5” to 7”

Here’s an image of a sling in the soufflé cup:

When I bought these slings they were 3/4”. When they arrived...yeah, no.

Must have shrunk alot during shipping.

Never had anything this tiny before, so I’m learning...really fast on these.

You easily be able to most any spider up 6.5” in the enclosure.

That seems really tight for a 6.5". What do you use as your guidelines when sizing out an enclosure for 3" and above?

At 3" the sub-adult is ready to be housed into a larger enclosure, yes that it true...4x4x4 AMAC is kind of tight fit for a 3” spider.

From there the spider is enclosed into it's intended adult enclosure...so an Aphonopelma seemanni would go into a different sized enclosure.

But something on the order of say a Goliath Bird-Eater...the final size of enclosure would be the judgment and preference of the keeper. I would use an intermediary enclosure, until the spider hit 6.5 to 7 inches, then move it to an adult enclosure

I have seen MORE than one person deviate. I don't assume.
