I posted a few days ago about my Paruroctonus boreus which gave birth Firday. She has now about 20 or so little creatures on her back. I gave her a delegged and otherwise slowed cricket and I believe she ate it. I plan to remove mom in a week or so when the babies start cruising on their own. In the meantime, should I be feeding the mom more often or just leave things as they are for awhile. I have had scorpions for many years, but this is my first experience with young. Have a look at the family through the link. It is the best image I could get without disturbing her.
I appreciate any help that guys can give me.

PS. It is looking like my A. australis is gravid. Oh boy!!!:? http://www.maltergalleries.com/catalog/prodimg/sabina/Northern Scorpion C.jpg

It would probably be fine to wait to feed her more until the babies are off her back...though feeding her the dead ones seemed to work...I don't see a prob with what you are doing.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. We'll hold steady until the fat tails spill out.
