I don't remember my blondi going into hiding this long before a molt ever, but my stermi has covered up the entrance to the hide. I haven't seen it since and it been a month. I keep spraying the cage and keeping the moisture level up. Is this normal behavior for stermi's?

This is normal for ALL Tarantulas, and the bigger the Tarantula is the longer it might stay in hiding

Yea you might have a good 2-3 month wait especially if your Stirmi has a huge abdomen

1month is nothing to worry about. Last time mine went into pre molt and sealed burrow it was almost 6 months before she opened the enterance kicked out her molt and resumed feeding. Mine is around 9" had her since 2009
