I have a male pink toe who has been "scrunched up" for about a week. I was feeding him today, the last feeding was last week, and his abdomen has shrunken. A waxworm was placed by his feet, and he started very slowly moving; his legs were having trouble stretching out and it looked very painful for him to move. I have suspicions of what is going on, but I'm pretty new to tarantulas, so maybe someone more experienced can help?

Is he mature? If that’s the case it certainly sounds like he’s towards the end of his days, as sad as that might be.

Sounds like a mature male. They don't live long after maturity.

Circle of life.

Cherish your remaining time with him.
