Hows this for a mega quick mating....

Species Brachypelma vagans ( Mexican Red Rump )

4pm start of sperm web build
5pm start of palp charging
6.08 end of palp charging
6.12 male transfered to neutral tank where female is placed & immediately begins mating cycle, good 4 inserts, female 25% smaller than male.

both specimens moulted in early/mid October gone, so good chance of successful mating.

This is the same male that has taken 12 years to mature, female same age.

12 years????? Were you keeping them at cold temps?

Not really, sometimes dropped to 60 deg F but most often 70 deg F plus, fed sparingly though, there is a thread somewhere in Arachnoboards showing actual pics of the male.
