Produced my first successful sac today, my C. versicolor female was mated on 02/20/17 noticed possible sac activity late April. Opened up her web hideout and pulled a big Sac today @ 200 1st instar that are starting to darken up. :) :)
I'm using water gel crystals below the pantyhose to keep humidity and cut out the risk of sloshing water onto the slings causing them to mold.

A rare look at Caribena versicolor before they ripen into little blueberries.

@Olan Thanks much....BTW that supposed male P. sp Machala finally gave me a decent molt SHE is now over 7" lol
Oh wow! Well congratulations on the surprise female! Based on your pictures, I thought there was no doubt it was a male, because she's so colorful.

Yeah me too, I read a couple posts recently saying as the females get older they loose most of the pink/mauve femur color. I'll get picks as soon as she hardens up.

Congrats! You're going to be busy getting them into vials
I will enjoy the endeavor, how could you not love all that "high stepping" blue fuzziness. ;) I have all the tools ready I chose 7oz drink cups that are about the size of a credit card. They are drilled for cross ventilation and all set for the new occupants.
cheaper that vials and better ventilation. @16 cents each w/lids and shipping

Update on the C. versi sac.....140 total live 2i spiderlings separated, housed, and fed first meal red runner nymphs. Only about 5-8 losses in the process from 1i-2i, not bad for a first time Mom. Half are mine due to a breeding loan.

New acquisitions came today!!
8 little teensy weensy 2-3i Brotheas gervaisii scorplings. They are about the size of a 2i Brachypelma not including the tails...so damn cute.
Beatiful packing job by @Stenodactylus! all eight are alive and active.
packed scorplings.jpg

New homes 5oz condiment cups with springtails, dwarf isopods, leaf litter, and moss.
I'm sure its oversized and they can grow up to adult in there they don't get very big at all.

Sooo tiny..... curve in background is the 5oz condiment cup bottom edge.
