I am not as familiar with sexing avicularia versus brachypelma but if the same holds true I would say male due to the large dark patch above the epigastric furrow. Can someone concur?

I get tricked by these guys all the time, but my female I had did not look like this at all ventrally so I am going with male as well based on that dense patch of hairs I see above the epigastric. If it is a male at that size he might mature on the next molt.

I'm sure you're dead-on as always...damn. we were hoping for a female...he just molted 2-3 weeks ago but he destroyed the molt before we could get it out of his enclosure. thanks again.
