I just got back from house sitting for some people and while I was there I would see at least one scorpion in their pool in the morning. They were all about an inch long(I am asumming they were adults)any way they were all dead when I got them out :( So an inch long and very light tan color but with very dark pedipalps.Any idea what they might be?

Some variety of Centruroides species most definitely. Possibly vittatus

Did you preserve them in Isopropyl alcohol/ photograph the specimens?.

Well I did preserve them in alcohol but they didn't have any jar around so I put them in a plastic ziplock bag with the stuff and the next day it had somehow sprung a leak. They wern't exactly in the best shape after that so,I just dumped them out :( Once I get my portable black light I will go and try to catch some and get some good pics.
