This guy is a recent acquisition, and despite being easier to sex than my brachypelma albopilosum, I can't for the life of me figure it out, even with some of the guides online. Here is a pic (I got the best pic I could with my crappy little camera):
I'm almost sure its a male, i'm pretty new though so take that with a grain of salt. My female H. spinifer has way smaller pectines and teeth than that.
I would say female. The 'hairs' on the pectines looks quite small compared to the pectines themselves. Also the genital operculum doesn't appear to be a lumpy oval, looks smooth and heart-shaped. Not the clearest picture, but if I had to wager I'd say female.
