Is it just me or does it look like my S. heros arizonensis “Madrean Banded” is going to molt VERY soon?

Here’s another picture from a while back, just for comparison. Note the coloration difference. And yes I know, I noticed that he/she has mycosis.

Yeah definitely, real soon, might have happened already. There are several things to notice but one of the more obvious ones is noticing the color change. See the last body segment looks a little brown? The old exo has separated from the new exo there, there's a thin space with fluid there now. All that is blocking the true color so that it looks kind of dull compared to what you're used to seeing.

I’ve read before that pedes look very dull when they’re in pre-molt, so this makes a lot of sense. Thanks! :)

Update: He/she molted just fine. Here’s a quick photo of him/her munching down on his/her old self :)

Cool!, it's like getting a brand new centipede.
