Sand stuck to stinger

D3ED2373-917B-4411-9888-E8060A0B14FC.jpeg Hi everyone. I recently bought my hottentotta franzwerneri and it has sand stuck onto its stinger pretty good. I just tried to get it free using tongs and could only get a little off. I’m wondering if it’ll be fine to let it just molt it off. It ate a cricket yesterday although I didn’t see it actually use its stinger to kill it first but I suspect it did. Here’s an attached photo of it.

It likely frassed and sand got stuck to the wet frass. You can use a damp piece of paper towel to try to wipe it off.

That was what I was thinking actually. I’ll probably use a Q-tip to remove it though to avoid getting tagged.

Your concernn about getting tagged demonstrates at least an implicit understanding that the sand isn’t practically interfering with proper function.
