I'm taking a wild guess in saying that you found it at a pet store??? It's really beautiful...looks like you saved it just in time! It does look like it will pull through for you. Good job, Anastasia! What species is that, anyway? Looks similar to a grammostola from here but I can't tell which one (I'm probably way off, anyway  ).

What a shame......
I'm very curious to know how you got it. Private sale, dealer, pet shop?
It looks like it got a great new home. Please keep us posted on this. BTW: did you give it a name yet? lol

Judging by the first picture you posted where you're holding it in your hand, my initial guess on gender was female. :)

Wow, that tarantula looked like it was stuck behind a furnace for a few days!

Very nice job on the recovery, though. The changes in that short time are already remarkable. That tarantula is very "lucky" indeed to be in good care. :)

How long did the shipment take and how was it packaged, by the way? I can't imagine it leaving the dealer's hands like it. :?

What about "Chance", since it's getting a second chance at life? :)

Oh that poor thing. Good luck Anastasia. She's looking better already. There's no better hands she could be in with your knowledge and love for your spiders.
