Hello, I am new to scorpions(own tarantulas) and just got this fellow today. Is he really a Asian forest scorpion, Heterometrus petersii or different species? Also, they told me he/she is a young scorpion so it's unsexed. Any insights on how I could tell sex?
Thank you in advance!

Yes, Heterometrus petersii. Post a clear picture of the pectines/genital operculum and we can sex it.

Thank you for your reply. Ah good, I wanted to make sure it was a correct id for the habitat I built for him/her. I'll let him/her settle and later i'll post a picture of pectines.

Here, finally pictures of his pectines and operculum. Might be male? The person that I got it from said it was too young to sex. Getting pretty fat too. XD
