Question "Ratings"

I have noticed that the "ratings" (as in like, dislike, agree, disagree, funny, etc) on the bottom right of others responses varies from thread to thread for me. Some threads I have twice as many options to pick from than on other threads. And sometimes people have rated my posts with ratings I've never even seen as an option for me (i.e.: "cake" or "award").
Can someone explain this to me?

arachno suporter and arachno suporter plus get extras and I'm not sure why you get diff options depending on what forum you post in.
