I was looking for a picture of my childhood dog and couldn't find one. In the meantime, it occured to me that I have a scanner. May as well put it to use.

Cheers,
Dave

And this is an Eastern Ribbon Snake taken near my mom's place. I think he thought I couldn't see him.

This is Tamara playing with a friend of hers. The sign says not to stick your fingers into the cage. ;)

Hehe :)
Nice pics, especially the first one! I almost never see roe-deer in the forest, just in or just outside gardens :p

That's a Mexican cantil (Agkistrodon). It's a cousin to the copperheads.

nice pics Dave! thanks for posting them.
I'll have to dig up some of my completely unrelated pics, and post them as well :)

Damn! He won first! I was going to say that! I just went to Costa Rica and they had one in captivity. There weren't very many arachnids that I saw, but I saw all of my favorite snakes -- Eyelash vipers, Fer-de-Lance, Bushmaster, Jumping Viper, Hognosed Viper, my God it's like HEAVEN!
