I was wondering if anyone had any input about the smaller critter keepers as suitable housing for signle smaller scorps, babies and here is a photo of the rack: http://www.acreptiles.com/cages_RhacSystems_baby.htm

maybe not, the tops are some what open but any how...I just thought i'd offer it. Does anyone use any types of racks?

Does not seem like the worst idea, but there might be problems with ventilation, and so on seems to work thoug.

Depending on what your requirements are, it's usually best to make your own rack. Most rack systems I've seen are pretty expensive.

I'd go for the cheap plastic shoeboxes, a melanine rack, some heat tape, and a thermostat.

As for substrate you can get pretty creative. I was housing 8 V. caro's on coco fiber, after 5 mysteriously died, I switched to paper towels. Everything's fine now. Other than that I've housed tons of stuff on coco fiber. Play sand mixed with calci sand or the like, makes a nice burrowing substrate for desert species.
