Question Proper Etiquette on Classifieds

Howdy there I'm new to this forum and forums in general, and I'm a bit confused on the classifieds ads. I'm looking for <edit> my first T, and I found a seller. However, he requests that I communicate with him through the forums. Does this mean I reply to the thread? Or do I hit that 'start a conversation' button? That's all, thank you for your time.

Classified ads cannot be posted to...you need to "start a conversation"....this is the AB private message system.
