Please ID this Mexican Scorpion

Sorry, not the best picture, but can anyone tell me what species this Mexican (south of Playa del Carmen area) scorpion is? And also how potent its venom would likely be? Asking for a friend who found it hiding near his bed.

That is most likely a Centruroides spec.

Yes, male of genus Centruroides. In Mexico there are the highest number of scorpions species of the world so it is not simple to identify this scorpion.
If it is a C. gracilis or an other Mexican Centruroides, it is dangerous!
