Odds of an orange isopod?

I have colony of these greyish /blueish isopods (not quite sure of the species) for over five months now. I haven't added any new isopods because I have them quarantined. Today I found a small orange isopod munching on a leaf.

What are the chances for this?

Powdery blues, Porcellionides spp. can sometimes look orangish when their waxy outer layer is worn off. They're also lighter in color when young. Here's a picture of some.

But they also come in an orange morph so it's possible. Keep an eye on it as it grows.

Almost all isopod species have an orange, a piebald, and a pure white morph. These are very rare recessive genes that occasionally occur in the wild, and it is entirely possible one of your females produced orange offspring. If you do find another in the tank or the wild, place all the morphs together so they breed and have orange babies. It's the first step into breeding a new cultivar!
