AAB1A2CF-D471-467C-B16C-A1FEDAE661B8.jpeg Hey all!
Just had a euathlus sp condorito
Molt with a messed up leg.
The leg is above the spider and strait with a little curl on the end.
Just wondering if anyone can tell me why this happened.
Not enough moisture? Or lacking nutrients or something...?

Thanks

It's probably nothing you did or didn't do, just one of those things that happens sometimes.

If she had trouble extracting that leg, it might have hardened in an awkward position. If it's too much of a hindrance, she'll likely amputate it.

Bad molts are many times full of ' if, could, should, might, may, possibly etc etc" making it speculation or a guess when questioning "what happened" . Simply put, good set ups can STILL result in a bad molt even when your husbandry is spot on. All you can do is give it the best husbandry possible with the info you have at hand. The end result cant be controlled and sometimes things just happen.
