Do any of you have one of these T's?

Common name is Brazilian Giant Blonde. I'm getting one tonight, and I'd like your thoughts.

I,ve found info. on it. Just looking for any personal experience.

Well its good to know I'm the only one on this board that owns a N. vulpinus.:)

The name sounds kinda nasty though, dont ya think?;)

I'll let ya know what its about, when I know.

I considered getting one but went with a Nhandu coloratovillosus instead. The stripes won out over blonde for the genus :)

I've got a vulpinus, ordered it from Darrin Vernier back in April. I think it was 3/4 inch at that time, is now 4" +. They grow very fast, and mine is a little skittish, but not very bitey; likes to kick hairs though. They look a little drab up to about 4", in my view, but once it got some size and some hairyness going, it is quite pretty. Color is more like a strawberry blond than straight blond, quite a few red-orange highlights, very pretty, and eats like a horse.

Vulpes in Latin means "fox". Vulpine therefore means "fox-like". (Same as lupine, canine, feline, and so forth.) I have no idea what this means in context with the tarantula, just thought I'd throw that out there. You probably already knew that. I'm just gonna shut up and watch now. :8o

The spider I got is about 4" and female.

I agree with the strawberry blonde. Its hairs are about 1/4" long.

This T was in a 3" jar. It either had to stand on its front legs or its back. It could'nt stand on all 8 legs at once.

She's a happy girl now though. She's eatten 2 crics today and has a lg. pet pal to walk around in for the first time in her life.

Pretty cool Tarantula.:D

Ernie

PS:Lost_Tarantula, I'm nameing her "Foxy"

Thanks for the replies guys;)
