Nhandu chromatus handling.. need help

first of all i know that all tarantula shouldnt be handle

thats why im asking help how to handle them
like tips and techinques that most of you gus posted

and by the way im asking because i will do the opposie im asking for second opinion

a large portion of the hobby ppl get off on not holding their bugs. they will just bash ppl who do. there is something called an ignore list. i suggest you get acquainted with it

not everyone thinks free handling is bad =P




i would say handling anything but a <2"DLS spiderling 5 days after it molted is probably not a great idea though. immediately premolting, during molt, and immediately post molting are the MOST fragile/dangerous times for a spider. a large spider can take MONTHS to completely "recover" from a molt. even tiny spiderlings take a day or two sometimes. i am of the tendency to think not all the spiders bits work 100% until they have totally recovered from a molt, and thus they act weird sometimes. i am all for safe free handling... but probably it would be best to wait a tiny bit more before playing with a spider after a molt inthe future
