Last night in purchased a 4.5inch P. Regalis for $60! I currently have them in a plastic file box as a temporary enclosure. However, I want a nicer looking encloure and was wondering if a 8x8x12 zoomed enclosure would be a good size? If so, how big could the tarantula get before needing to upgrade them to a larger enclosure?

If you’re going to be spending that kind of money on an enclosure, I’d opt for something that will fit your P. regalis as an adult (about 7” if I’m not mistaken)

Yup,that size enclosure will work.. After my poecs hit the 6-7 inch mark I like to house them in something like the 12x12x18 or something similar in size..

Your thinking all wrong... When the now 5 inch pokie hits 7 inches you move it to a 12x12x18 and then get another 4-5 inch pokie for the now empty 8x8x12 ;)...

Would it be ok to go ahead and get a 12x12x18 instead of 8x8x12 and put them in Ethernet this size?

Yea it will be fine as long as you have plenty of cork slabs and hollows for it to tuck into if it's feeling a bit too exposed..
