Visited several pet stores today and found this neat enclosure in a reptile shop near me.
You guys might have seen these before. They are called "Southern Land Herp Habitat". Anyway, the top screen inserts into the top opening smoothly and can be removed all the way out.
Measurement: My visual estimate due to lack of actual figures (and no ruler OMFG!) would be 11.3" x 8.5 internal depth x 6.5 width, internal. Made from glass and is $24.99. I was out looking for 2.5 gallons, which I did find several of but none came with a lid. I think this is next to okay for medium-sized T's, in my case a 3.5 inch female P. sazimai some time next week.
The only drawback with this is it will be difficult to obtain again if the shop near me decides to close - I want uniform tanks!
I wanted to try the Jamie enclosures, but they are 6 inches deep and 6 inches wide, then add a 6 inch-deep substrate for a Brazilian terrestrial and... just doesn't work. I would buy hers if they were deeper, say 10".
Will post images of the finished tank. Bye bye for now. Toodles xoxo.
