New cicadas species?

Today as I was going to the beach, I saw a small thing on my window, I first I thought it was a moth but then I saw it jumping, I lifted it and I realized it had cicadas body.it had gorgeous red wings, sadly It jumped away as I tried to take a picture of it. It was only 1cm long and super adorable.. I tried to ID it, but couldn't find any picture of it.. I live in greece

I dont think that was a cicada, there are many insects that look like a cicada in the order hemiptera

Dude, it had the cicadas face, and the abdomen (female). If this wasnt a cicadas then I'm not a human, are the chances of it being a new species or very rare? Geez

Probably some species of tree hopper. They look like smaller versions of cicadas and are often brightly colored.
