Whats up guys, i got 3 new avic avics today. I have 2 of them in 1gallon canisters from rubermaid (5x5x10[lxwxh]) with eco-earth as the bedding thats about 2-3 inches high. One of the avics in the canister is around 3-3.5inches while the other one is 2.5-3 inches(this one has around 6in of space for climbing because i put more bedding in there). I have some fake plants in there so it can go on, unfortunately i couldnt afford cork bark. its fairly humid, im pretty sure its around 80% and 75-80F. I made holes in both the canisters on the lids and all sides of the container(front and back have 3 holes, sides have 5), and 5 on the back of each. Here is a bunch of picks... WP_000170.jpg WP_000172.jpg WP_000171.jpg And my last avic is in a deli cup that the previous owner gave me which is about 6 in tall. The avic it houses is 2.5in, the only thing is idk if there is enough holes for ventilation(8 holes on the side and 13 holes on the top). Here are the picks... WP_000190.jpg WP_000193.jpg .
If you see anything wrong or have some tips please let me know, its my first time having arboreal's so...Thanks!

I'd say thats a good starter setup. Do you know the sex? I'm about to get a versicolor. My A.Avic male died last week so I want to get a larger arboreal but one I can handle. I don't handle my P. regalis. Good setup and make sure to keep it moist in there.

Though it was hard to know 100%, I'm pretty sure it was mature. I saved him from a pet store. He was my 1st T so it sucked but I gave him a nice little burial.

They are ok, but if i were you,i would use some cork bark instead of fake plants,
there would be more moving places and the enclosure would be more visible. ;)

thats what i was going to buy but it is way to expensive at the place i went to. So the only thing i could afford is the fake plants at the moment. Oh and the first 3 picks of the canisters i show have way too much plant so i cut off most of the side.

http://www.anapsid.org/wildwood.html This site gives some tips on how to cure wood from outside for animal enclosures. I haven't done this for my Ts but for my corn snake I used freshly fallen wood and washed it with boiling water and dried it out in the bathroom. I also saw on Jon3800s youtube channel that you can soak the wood in water then put it in the microwave for 3 min.

I'll probably copy your idea with the rubbermaid jars for my four avics once they start to grow. Great job.

There are smaller 2qt canisters like this for avics a bit smaller. Thanks everyone, they seem to like it. I already fed all of them and the one in the deli cup is beginning to web the fake plant. Oh and im using 1gallon rubbermaid canisters if i havent already posted. The canisters cost $3-6 depending where you go (avoid Kmart).

Looks pretty good man, I like the cheap solution. Might try something similar with some arboreals I'm getting soon.

I like your setups as well, but as Fatich said I would try and get some cork bark in there for them. Or something similar that's hard they can climb on that won't sway or give under their weight.
